Job Description
**Job Summary** The Intern provides administrative, operational, or project-based support to various departments within the facility. This role offers hands-on experience and exposure to healthcare operations and may include responsibilities aligned with the intern's academic field of study. Under supervision, the Intern contributes to day-to-day tasks, research, and process improvement initiatives, while gaining familiarity with clinical and non-clinical workflows in a healthcare setting. **Essential Functions** + Assists department staff with routine administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, documentation, and scheduling. + Supports departmental projects through data collection, analysis, research, and preparation of reports or presentations. + Participates in team meetings, trainings, and shadowing opportunities to build understanding of healthcare operations. + Collaborates with staff and leadership to contribute to special assignments or initiatives relevant to the intern's field of study. + Ensures confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks and interactions. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Maintains regular and reliable attendance. + Complies with all policies and standards. **Qualifications** + Currently enrolled in or recently completed an educational program in a relevant field of study required + 0-1 years of experience in area of study or related field preferred **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other common software tools. + High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. + Professional demeanor with a willingness to learn and take initiative. + Ability to interact effectively with staff, patients, and external partners in a healthcare environment.
