Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a hybrid Contract position requiring a combination of in-office and remote work. In this role, you will oversee a high volume of accounts, ensuring timely collections and maintaining excellent customer relationships. Responsibilities: - Manage the collection process for a large portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies. - Utilize intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and vlookups, to analyze and track financial data. - Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email to address payment issues and negotiate solutions. - Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing and collection processes. - Maintain accurate records of collections activities using accounting software systems. - Handle inbound calls and inquiries related to accounts receivable and billing. - Apply problem-solving techniques to resolve complex payment disputes. - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all collection activities. - Use CRM tools to track interactions and update account statuses. - Stay updated on industry best practices and tools to improve efficiency in the collections process. Requirements - Proven experience managing collections for a high volume of accounts. - Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to use formulas, pivot tables, and vlookups. - Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients. - Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation abilities. - Familiarity with accounting software systems and CRM tools. - Ability to handle inbound calls and manage billing functions efficiently. - Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and claim administration. - Experience with tools such as Accurint, ADP Financial Services, or Epic Software is a plus.
