**Job Title: Quality Inspector**
**Job Description**
As a Quality Inspector, you will build and assemble unique large manufacturing equipment from component parts, following standard operating procedures to meet customer specifications. You will define and implement cost-effective inspection processes aligned with ISO 9001 standards and conduct daily interactions with shop floor personnel and management.
**Responsibilities**
+ Conduct First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections, particularly for sheet metal and welding operations.
+ Perform receiving inspections and evaluate outsourced processes as needed.
+ Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures and work instructions.
+ Support shipping inspections and ensure conformance of incoming products.
+ Participate in internal and external audits.
+ Support and deliver employee on-the-job training.
+ Verify conformance to specifications, internal work tickets, and best practices.
+ Interpret engineering drawings, including flat and formed sheet metal parts, weld symbols, and assemblies.
+ Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; conduct system testing.
+ Apply GD&T principles to inspect complex parts and assemblies.
+ Issue non-conformance reports for internal processes and suppliers.
+ Assist in customer complaint investigations and root cause analysis.
+ Utilize and maintain precision measurement tools effectively.
+ Support facility calibration and preventive maintenance programs.
+ Assist in facility safety initiatives and improvements.
+ Recommend updates to SOPs, blueprints, and production standards to enhance performance.
+ Maintain part and lot traceability throughout the inspection process.
+ Be available for overtime as needed.
+ Make objective, data-driven decisions based on inspection findings.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in inspection at a precision sheet metal company.
+ Proficiency in ISO 9001 quality systems and operations.
+ Expertise in reading and understanding blueprints.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledgeable in welding, assembly, painting, and forming.
+ Experience with forklift, cranes, and drills.

**Work Environment**
Work in a hands-on environment requiring non-casual attire, including steel-toed boots. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM, often extending to 6 PM, with occasional Saturdays. Currently, the workload is about 60 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
