Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various commercial settings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, boilers, chillers, VAV systems, and control systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and service inspections on commercial equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and wiring schematics.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of service work and communicate findings with dispatch and customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on job sites.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience required.
  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • HVAC trade school certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC theory, control systems, and safety procedures.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds. Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, stoop, bend, squat, open doors, and climb/ descend stairs
  • Operate standard office equipment (computers, phones, copier, fax machine or scanner)
  • Moderate lifting may be required (15-20) pounds
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day
  • Travel to a variety of work sites every day in a company vehicle.
