Harney District Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medical Services Chief to supervise, mentor and support our Emergency Medical Services Department. The salary range for this position is $74k-$100k dependent on experience. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Equivalent to a high school education supplemented with additional specialized emergency medical training and over five (5) years emergency medical experience at the Paramedic level, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES:
* Paramedic (EMT – P) certificate issued by the State of Oregon
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificate or ability to acquire by the time of appointment.
* Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support certificate or equivalent within six (6) months of appointment.
*Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
*Valid CPR-HCP card.
In order to meet the requirements mandated by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988, Sec. 493.1423, documentation including diploma copy or official transcript of highest academic achievement must be provided at time of hire.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Previous emergency medical experience in a hospital environment.
