SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF JOB
The Clinical Liaison is responsible for growth and development of his/her assigned territory for inpatient admissions. The incumbent is responsible for marketing calls to appropriate referral sources in assigned territory and the ongoing assessment and recruitment of inpatient rehabilitation appropriate patients. Understands the role of employee's individual position regarding HIPAA requirements and level of access to Protected Health Information as defined in HIPAA hospital-wide policies.

QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills - written and oral; excellent interpersonal skills.
Marketing skills: ability to close sales, present accurate, target-specific information and a working knowledge of rehab concepts and multidisciplinary team approach; strong organizational skills. Ability to determine medical appropriateness for rehab, rehabilitation potential, and tolerance of therapy of specified aged adults. Bilingual capability (Spanish/English) preferred
EXPERIENCE
Two years sales/marketing experience or equivalent experience in healthcare in a collegial role with referring physicians preferred. Two years allied health professional, RN preferred or would consider LPN with 10 years or more experience. Clinical Liaison experience strongly preferred. Experience in the field of physical rehabilitation and trauma preferred.

HOURS: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM with rotational weekend on-call
