Description Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the Controller in various accounting tasks. Responsibilities: - Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. - Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy. - Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Support the Controller with budgeting and forecasting processes. - Conduct regular audits to verify financial records and ensure compliance with company policies. - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed. - Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement. - Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. - Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making. - Contribute to the improvement of internal accounting processes and systems.
