Southern California Pipe Trades Administrative Corporation (SCPTAC) administers comprehensive benefits to members under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreements between District Council No. 16 and Employers in the plumbing and pipefitting industry in Southern California. The Data Processor will assist with the administration of the Southern California Pipe Trades Retirement, Christmas Bonus, Defined Contribution Funds, and the Inland Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Retirement Fund, as assigned by Manager.

EXPERIENCE & GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma (Associate's degree preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong work ethic and team player who will take the initiative. Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work calmly while handling multiple priorities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The most significant responsibilities of this job classification are:
- Respond to eligibility and benefit inquiries from participants, beneficiaries regarding pension and defined contribution benefits, both in written form and verbally (in-person and by phone).
- Initiate and prepare correspondence to participants, beneficiaries, and claimants regarding general account information, pension history, defined contribution benefits, etc.
- Maintain required files and documentation.
- Monthly review of reports and processing as required related to lost participants and beneficiaries.
- Request stop payments from Accounting for pension benefit checks as requested.
- Assist with logging and distributing mail.
- Prepare original documents for filing, scanning and/or destruction based on the SCPTAC Records and Retention policy. Accurately prepare, scan and index documents into the centralized database.
Other responsibilities may be assigned by Management based on the individual's abilities.
