Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: On-Site Calvert, Alabama

About the job
As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for maintenance and tracking for Terminator and Recycling. You will be expected to operate Recycling equipment and participate in refractory installation as directed by the Site Lead.

Your responsibilities will include:
•Terminator daily, weekly, monthly maintanence.
•Performs preventative maintenance on Terminator, gunning machines and Recycling equipment.
•Operate equipment and machinery including but not limited to forklifts, Jib crane, skid-steer, and scissor lift.
•Available to help on shop floor with all refractory work as needed.
•Welding, cutting, grinding.
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment
•Responsible for wearing proper PPE at all times and following all safety rules

 Job Requirements:

•2+ years refractory work experience preferred but not required
•High School Diploma / GED
•Relevant educational background eg. Refractory or Masonry qualification preferred
•Welding, masonery, mechanical, use of hand tools, forming & pouring; practical experience is advantageous
•Posesses RHI Magnesita's core values: passion, integrity, hard work and professionalism
•Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours per day
•Must be able to lift 50lb as needed
•Must be able to go up and down ladders, steps, or other lifts as needed
•Must be able to perform various tasks in confined spaces and elevations.
