Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team. The Engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting enterprise and high‑performance networking environments. This role works closely with customers, vendors, and internal engineering teams to define network architectures, deploy solutions, and troubleshoot complex networking issues-particularly in Ethernet and InfiniBand (NVIDIA/Mellanox) environments.
This position is ideal for a hands-on network engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working in cutting-edge infrastructure environments, and contributing to scalable, high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities
+ Design, configure, and manage wired and high-performance networks, including Ethernet and InfiniBand
+ Partner with customers and vendors to define network topology and resolve network-related issues
+ Troubleshoot networking problems across servers, top-of-rack switches (TOR), DACs, and NICs
+ Analyze failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with R& D and engineering teams
+ Design and deploy LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments
+ Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, servers)
+ Monitor network performance, availability, and security
+ Implement and test network security controls and access models
+ Maintain accurate technical documentation and network diagrams
+ Recommend improvements for performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability
+ Support and maintain all network operations and infrastructure
+ Perform additional related duties as needed
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong hands-on experience configuring and managing Ethernet and InfiniBand networks
+ Solid background in network architecture and administration
+ Deep understanding of networking protocols and routing concepts
+ Experience with enterprise networking equipment, firewalls, and switches
+ Familiarity with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analysis tools
+ Knowledge of network security principles and access control models
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
+ Excellent communication and documentation skills
+ Professional network certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP)
Education & Experience
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Master's preferred)
+ 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure or network engineering experience
+ Experience supporting enterprise-scale networks, including InfiniBand environments, strongly preferred
