Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled UI/UX Designer to join our team on a contract basis for a 3-6 month project in Houston, Texas. This role involves leading the design process from the ground up, with a focus on creating a user-friendly website that meets the needs of diverse stakeholders. Candidates should bring expertise in modern design principles and tools while collaborating closely with teams to shape the project's vision and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative UI/UX designs for a new website, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements.
- Collaborate with the Dean, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to define the website's purpose and user experience.
- Utilize modern platforms and design tools to create wireframes, prototypes, and final design layouts.
- Conduct user research to inform design decisions and improve functionality for patient users, physicians, and educators.
- Ensure seamless integration with content management systems (CMS) and other technical platforms.
- Lead the project design phase while coordinating with developers for potential second-phase implementation.
- Create designs that support features such as appointment scheduling, physician referrals, and patient education materials.
- Stay updated on industry best practices to deliver high-quality and modern design solutions.
- Provide direction for future content development once the website foundation is established. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of leading projects.
- Proficiency in modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML.
- Strong familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and platform integration.
- Experience in developing user-centric designs for diverse audiences, including patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to create prototypes and wireframes using design tools.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
- Experience working in the education or healthcare industry is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work onsite in Houston, Texas, for the duration of the contract.
