Deployment Technician - Immediate Opening Location: Albany, NY area (preferred)

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM (plus occasional days, weekends, and on-call shifts)

Travel: Regional travel throughout New England and New York State

About the Role: Connectivity Point Design and Installation is seeking a reliable, self-motivated Deployment Technician to join our team immediately. This critical role supports our Deployment, Service, and Structured Cabling divisions and plays a hands-on part in delivering high-quality service to our clients.

As a Deployment Technician, you'll install, maintain, and service network and point-of-sale (POS) hardware, commercial data/voice systems, fiber optic cabling, paging, security systems, and audio/visual solutions. This role requires both technical expertise and strong customer communication skills, as you will educate users on system operations and maintenance while addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and service of:
  • Network & POS hardware
  • Structured cabling (data, voice, fiber optic)
  • Paging and security systems
  • Audio/Visual systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and connectivity issues
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain system features and proper use
• Coordinate with Project Managers and the Service Department to ensure successful job completion
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, materials used, and work completed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Willingness and ability to work a primarily overnight schedule (Mon-Thurs 9 PM-7 AM)
• Flexibility for day shifts, weekends, and on-call work as needed
• Must reside in or near Albany, NY, or be willing to travel regularly to this region
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Prior experience in low-voltage cabling, IT hardware installation, or field service work is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting, time management, and customer service skills
• Comfortable working independently in various commercial environments
• Must maintain a valid driver's license
