Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Kent, Washington. This role will focus on supporting a joint venture and assisting with a software upgrade, requiring expertise in general ledger accounting and international finance. The position is fully onsite and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Input and reconcile financial data, including beginning balances, across multiple sources.
- Set up accounting structures for the new joint venture, ensuring compliance with international standards.
- Perform detailed general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the UK-based accounting team to manage currency conversion and financial reporting.
- Assist with the implementation and testing of upgraded ERP software systems, including Macola.
- Audit and organize financial records from prior months to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide technical support for software integration and troubleshoot accounting system issues.
- Create and maintain accurate financial reports to support organizational decision-making.
- Demonstrate expertise in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Ensure smooth transitions during the setup of new company financial operations. Requirements - Proven experience in general ledger accounting and journal entries.
- Familiarity with international financial operations, including currency conversion.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Macola, and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Background in auditing and reconciling financial records.
- Prior experience in software implementation and testing within accounting systems.
- Ability to manage complex financial data with precision and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with international teams.
