Job Description
Actalent Services is hiring a Construction Manager with a journeyman lineman background and strong site inspection oversight with clients in the power and utilities industry for a full-time leadership position based in the southeast (Alabama footprint). The Construction Manager will assume a leadership role within Actalent's Utilities Construction Inspection programs. The Construction Manager will be responsible for communicating company goals, site safety practices, and project deadlines to Actalent's current team leads. The Construction Manager provides feedback to Actalent Services leadership on team performance, project execution against goals, recommended process efficiencies, client reporting, and program improvements aligned to our service deliverables. The Construction Manager will be responsible for the quality and timeliness of the deliverables for all programs. The Construction Manager interfaces with the client at multiple levels, with responsibility for day-to-day life cycle execution. Success in this role requires proven field experience combined with business acumen to deliver successful services to our clients.
Essential Functions
+ Partner with Actalent Team Leads on each program to provide subject matter expertise within assigned project portfolio and coordinates and executes project pre-deployment to develop client relationships and organize team productivity
+ Determine areas for new training or skill checks based on project changes and team performance
+ Assist management with the hiring and training process of new employees
+ Provide coaching to team leads and conduct training on client specific processes and policies when needed
+ Create and manage schedules based on criticality level, duration, and team members strengths and needs, to effectively accomplish project milestones; plan, assign and direct work as required
+ Conduct team meetings to communicate daily and weekly team goals, best practices, and continuing expectations
+ Generate and share reports on team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines to client and Program Manager
+ Ensure the team has the resources and equipment needed to succeed in delivering project requirements
+ Understand and manage client requirements (deliverables and environmental factors) to ensure contract compliance and client satisfaction
+ Maintain program governance, including status reporting, risk management, and executive updates
+ Partner closely with Actalent delivery managers and client stakeholders, building key client relationships and help identify and drive new business opportunity
+ Identify and mitigate delivery risks, resolve blockers, and ensure milestones are met
+ Support continuous improvement across delivery processes and execution models
+ Ensure safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times by all Actalent team members
+ Attend regular check-ins with client stakeholders
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Minimum 15 years of professional experience with electric utility construction
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management-level role within electric utility construction (superintendent, general superintendent, construction manager, field manager, etc.)
+ Journeyman lineman background highly desired
+ Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) in general power delivery required
+ Experience leading programs to meet safety compliance requirements with strong knowledge and familiarity to OSHA regulations
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both field teams and client stakeholders; comfort operating in high-accountability, client-facing roles with ability to identify new business opportunities and consult with clients on solutions Actalent can provide through services
+ Team player with ability to work in a highly cross-functional and virtual environments
+ Proficient in PC applications - MS Office suite of tools
+ Ability to travel to project sites within southeastern U.S. (primarily within the state of Alabama) required
Compensation and Benefit Information
+ $140,000-$175,000 Starting Base Salary, $75.00 Monthly Cell Phone Allowance, Company Vehicle Provided, 3 Weeks Paid Time-Off, 6 Paid Holidays, M/D/V Benefits #fte26

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
