The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates (The League) is seeking a Payments Consultant to join our LEVERAGE Payment Solutions Team. As a Payments Consultant, you will serve as the product and process expert for LEVERAGE Payment Solutions responsible for growing new debit and credit card portfolios and supporting existing ones. The Payments Consultant partners with League Consultants to support new sales efforts and proactively engages with clients to uncover opportunities for innovation and portfolio expansion.

As a trusted advisor, the Payments Consultant provides strategic guidance to help issuers enhance their debit and credit programs, while identifying service or process gaps and recommending effective solutions. The Payments Consultant reports to and works closely with the Assistant Vice President of Payment Solutions to develop tailored RFP (Request for Proposal) responses and ensures a seamless onboarding experience through remote and in-person client meetings. In collaboration with the Payment Solutions Director, the Payment Consultant shares client insights to support long-term success. Quarterly remote and face-to-face client meetings allow the Payments Consultant to maintain strong relationships and deliver continued value.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Finance, Management, or a related field preferred. PMP certification is a plus.
  2. At least five years of experience in the payments industry or a related field.
  3. Proven success in consultative sales (preferred)
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Work Schedule:

As a Payments Consultant, the standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional commitments during evenings and weekends. The position requires occasional travel, which may involve both airline and car transportation. Therefore, a valid driver's license is required. This position offers a starting salary of $65,000 or higher, depending on experience, along with the opportunity to earn commission.
