What you'll be doing

A Lot Marking Foreman's job is to lead a team in applying pavement markings like lines, arrows, and symbols to roadways, parking lots, and other areas. This includes operating and maintaining pavement marking equipment, ensuring work zone safety, and communicating with project stakeholders. The foreman also ensures that markings are applied accurately according to plans and specifications.

• Leading a Crew:The foreman is responsible for leading a team of workers in pavement marking activities, including delegating tasks, providing instructions, and ensuring the crew follows safety protocols.

• Operating Equipment:This involves operating pavement marking machines, such as striping machines, and ensuring their proper maintenance and operation.

• Ensuring Accuracy:The foreman must ensure that markings are accurately laid out and applied according to plans and specifications, including measuring distances and angles.

• Safety:The foreman is responsible for ensuring the safety of the work site and the crew, including setting up barricades, signage, and other traffic control devices.

• Communicating with Stakeholders:The foreman communicates with inspectors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.

• Reading Plans:The foreman must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications for pavement markings, including layouts, dimensions, and materials.

• Maintaining Equipment:The foreman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and good working condition of the pavement marking equipment and tools.

• Training and Development:The foreman may be responsible for training new employees on the proper use of pavement marking equipment and safety procedures.

What skills and experience you'll bring to us

• Demonstrated record of accomplishment and creative problem skills
• 3-5 years in Field Operations
• Must have excellent leadership experience, a sense of urgency and a natural ability to work in a fast paced and growing enviroment
• Spanish language capability is a strong plus
• Knowledge of MS word, excel and internet
• Must be comfortable with a hands on work enviroment
• Leadership:The foreman must be able to lead and motivate a team of workers.

• Communication:The foreman must be able to communicate effectively with crew members, project managers, and other stakeholders.

• Technical Skills:The foreman must have a strong understanding of pavement marking equipment and procedures.

• Safety Knowledge:The foreman must have a thorough knowledge of work zone safety procedures and regulations.

• Reading Plans:The foreman must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications for pavement markings.
