**Description**
**Job Purpose:** The Payment Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee timesheets, mileage logs, and expense reports. This role involves reviewing, verifying, and entering data into the system, maintaining compliance with company policies, and supporting the payroll team in delivering efficient payroll and reimbursement processes. The Payment Specialist will collaborate with employees to resolve any discrepancies and ensure that all financial records are properly maintained and up to date.

- Performs claims data entry to ensure information is completely and accurately entered in the electronic system.
- Verifies, reviews, and enters timesheets, mileage logs, and expense reports timely and accurately.
- Reviews various payment entry related reports.
- Maintains productivity standards.
- Understands payment entry rules and regulations and requirements of the program.
- Abides by program policy, handbook, and waiver requirements.
- Provides courteous and professional service to customers.
- Adheres to strict deadlines for completing high volume tasks.
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
**Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials:** (Where appropriate, education and/or experience may be substituted)
**Minimum Required Education:** High school diploma or equivalent required
**Minimum Required Experience:** 1+ year(s) of data entry experience preferred

**Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:**
**Physical Requirements:** Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
**Visual Acuity:** The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal. Must be able to spend prolonged periods looking at a screen.
**Working Conditions:** None: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Must be able to work in a demanding environment that requires short turn-around time
