Job Description
Description We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Stamford, Connecticut. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days on-site (Tuesday through Thursday) and remote work on Mondays and Fridays. In this position, you will contribute to various financial and reporting activities while gaining valuable experience in the financial services industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing mutual fund custody, treasury operations, and financial reporting activities.
- Review and analyze security pricing, particularly for fixed income securities and derivatives, and present findings to the Pricing Committee.
- Monitor and coordinate activities with the Funds' custodian, including the opening of custody accounts.
- Evaluate and review regulatory filings, such as shareholder reports and updates to Form N-1A.
- Support the preparation and monitoring of fund expense budgets and manage the expense payment process.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of reports for the Board of Trustees, subadvisors, and management.
- Collaborate on new fund launches, mergers, liquidations, proxies, and share class changes as needed.
- Perform data analysis and reporting tasks using tools such as Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations and policies. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take on diverse responsibilities.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and regulatory filings is a plus.
- Must achieve a passing score of at least 70% on the required skills assessment.
