Position Overview
We're hiring a Lead Commercial HVAC Installer to oversee and execute the installation of commercial HVAC systems across a variety of projects. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise and proven leadership experience who thrives on keeping jobs on track, mentoring crews, and upholding high-quality standards.
You'll be the point person on job sites, ensuring installations are completed on time, on budget, and up to code-while serving as a role model for safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of installers on commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish
- Interpret and review blueprints, mechanical plans, and job scopes
- Coordinate with project managers, GCs, and other trades to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
- Oversee material takeoffs, inventory, and ordering as needed
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, OSHA guidelines, and company safety policies
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior installers
- Perform system start-ups and ensure all installations pass inspections
- Communicate progress and jobsite updates clearly with leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, duct layouts, piping, controls, and startup procedures
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical schematics confidently
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
- EPA 608 Certification required
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in elevated or tight spaces
- Strong communication skills and a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
