Job Description
Description Robert Half is seeking a Help Desk Technician Level I to provide first-line technical support to internal users. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues, while ensuring accurate documentation and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is reliable, service-driven, and thrives in a dynamic support environment. Technical Support + Log all incoming support requests in the ticketing system with complete, accurate details + Troubleshoot and resolve Level I technical issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity + Escalate unresolved or complex issues to appropriate support teams + Utilize knowledge bases and internal documentation for troubleshooting + Maintain and update support documentation, FAQs, and guides + Respond promptly to voicemails and email inquiries User Communication + Establish rapport with users and gather detailed information on reported issues + Provide timely follow-ups on open and resolved tickets + Monitor ticket queues to ensure service level expectations are met + Escalate high-priority issues to leadership as needed + Contribute to a customer-first culture within the IT team Process Improvement & Documentation + Adhere to established Help Desk protocols and workflows + Recommend improvements to procedures and ticket handling + Assist in the development of help sheets and training materials + Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team efficiency Requirements Education + High School Diploma or equivalent (required) + Some college coursework or technical training (preferred) Experience + Experience in a customer service or call center environment (required) + Familiarity with POS systems, peripherals, or IT support tools (preferred) + Experience using a ticketing or call tracking system (preferred) Skills & Competencies + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities + Detail-oriented and organized + Positive, team-focused attitude + Eagerness to learn and support colleagues Pre-Employment Requirements + Drug screening + Criminal background check + Completion of internal surveys and assessments (e.g., Orion Survey, Customer Service Survey) Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
