Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Revenue Manager to join our team in Broomfield, Colorado. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in overseeing revenue operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial processes for a SaaS organization. This opportunity offers a dynamic and collaborative environment for professionals with a strong background in revenue recognition and SaaS-related accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards.
- Manage accounts receivable and billing operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyze deferred revenue schedules and ensure proper reporting in financial statements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve revenue-related workflows and systems.
- Utilize NetSuite and Maxio to manage and streamline revenue accounting processes.
- Provide guidance on SaaS-specific revenue operations and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits of revenue systems to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare revenue reports and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes related to revenue.
- Train and mentor team members on revenue management practices and tools. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in revenue recognition accounting with a strong understanding of ASC 606.
- Hands-on experience with billing systems, accounts receivable, and deferred revenue.
- Familiarity with NetSuite and Maxio software.
- Background in SaaS revenue operations and accounting practices.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial reporting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
