Title: Maintenance Mechanic / Sr. Location: Orangeburg, NY Duration: Direct Hire Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Start: ASAP Comments: + Overtime available + On-Call Coverage: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM every six weeks once trained (minimum 4 hours paid if called in) + 10% shift differential for on-call week Education: High School Diploma or GED required Experience Requirements: + Senior Mechanic: Minimum 7 years of experience + Mechanic: Minimum 5 years of experience "Must Haves": + Commute must be under 45 minutes (due to on-call requirement) + Electrical and electronics knowledge + Packaging & filling equipment experience is a huge plus Job Description: Performs maintenance, repair, overhaul, and setup of all plant operating equipment. This includes troubleshooting and correcting operating difficulties, particularly with production and support machinery essential to the manufacture of diagnostic products. Responsibilities: + Examine and diagnose plant equipment to correct operating difficulties, including: + Filling and packaging machines + Lyophilization (freeze-drying) and support equipment + Stoppering and closure machinery + Labeling, packaging, and finishing equipment + Conveying, transferring, and materials handling systems + Replace or repair frozen/worn bearings, broken or worn parts, leaking supply lines/systems, gears, shafts, sprockets, chains, valves, belts, and components within electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic drive/control systems. + Disassemble, clean, lubricate, repair, and reassemble equipment for overhauls or as part of preventive maintenance. + Perform installation, repair, and/or maintenance on plant building facilities. + Construct or relocate office spaces as needed. + Maintain thorough records, logs, parts and supplier lists, maintenance histories, stock records, and equipment manuals.
