Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This is a long-term contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The role will focus on ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: - Process a large volume of invoices with precision and efficiency, adhering to company policies. - Reconcile vendor accounts and address discrepancies by working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with organizational policies and accepted accounting practices in all accounts payable activities. - Assist in month-end closing tasks, particularly those related to accounts payable and vendor payments. - Manage account coding and ensure proper allocation of expenses to the correct accounts. - Handle purchase orders and implement 3-way matching to verify invoice accuracy. - Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and timely reimbursement. Requirements - Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, preferably in high-volume environments. - Strong knowledge of purchase orders and 3-way matching techniques. - Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for resolving discrepancies. - Experience processing expense reports and ensuring policy compliance.
