Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Company Benefits:** + 6% 401k match + Day one medical, dental, vision, RX (get all starting as low as $33.00/month!) + HSA with company contribution + Monthly bonus (possibility of up to 11%) + 10 paid vacation days (prorated first calendar year) + Paid personal days + 11 paid holidays + Annual merit increases + Opportunity for overtime hours/shifts + Education Tuition Assistance This is a 3rd shift (Monday-Thursday 8pm-6am) position starting at $21.60/hour + $1.00 shift premium. **JOB DUTIES:** + Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces + Demonstrate the ability to follow the sequence of operations and setup requirements + Measures, marks, scribes dimensions, and reference points on material or workpieces as a guide for subsequent machining + Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes and grinders + Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut + Enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media + Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting machine controls or control media as required + Verifies compliance of finished workpiece to specifications + Sets up and operates the machine on trial run to verify accuracy of the machine settings or the programmed control data + Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly + Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly + Ability to identify worn tooling, installing replacement inserts, grind wheels and carbide cutters on equipment and maintains daily PM as required + Collaborates with engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve machining or assembly problems + Experience with CNC controls: Fanuc, Mazatrol and Okuma OSP desired **Basic Qualifications:** + High school diploma with up to 3 months related workplace experience, or six months vocational/technical training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience + Demonstrate the ability to accurately complete all work-related documents + Understand basic operating principles for all plant machinery + Fluency in English (read, write, comprehend) + Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems + Must have mechanical aptitude + Observe safety and security procedures **What to Expect After Applying** **:** **Applicants that meet the qualifications will receive a call from our talent acquisition team to talk through your qualifications and answer questions you may have.** **Applicants that have passed the phone screen will be sent an online assessment that can be taken from your phone or computer.** **On-site interviews will be scheduled for candidates that pass the phone screen and the online assessment.** **Please ensure you frequently check the email account you provided on your application, including the junk/spam folder, as this is the primary correspondence method in our recruiting process.** Caterpillar is not currently hiring individuals for this position who now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status; however, as a global company, Caterpillar offers many job opportunities outside of the U.S. which can be found through our employment website at www.caterpillar.com/careers **Summary Pay Range:** $21.60 - $26.90 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
