Role: Direct Support Professional with QMAP certification
Pay: $23/hr
Location: Arvada/Lakewood
Contract: 6-8 weeks
Direct support professional working in residential homes with patients with developmental disabilities. What You Bring to the Role:
Must be at least 19 years of age. Ability to successfully complete required background checks. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record if transportation is required by assignment. Ability to complete required training and certifications, including CPR and First Aid and Safety Care. Basic reading, writing, and communication skills. Basic computer skills, including use of email and electronic documentation systems. Preferred Qualifications One year of paid or volunteer experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Familiarity with developmental disabilities systems, rules, and regulations.
Performs duties as delegated by a licensed nurse. Administers medications to patients as directed and documents the administration to the patient's medical record. May assist with general clerical duties.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required
+ Valid CMA state certification or license if required by state/contract
+ One (1) one year experience as a medication aide preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
