We are a family restaurant who caters to the sports enthusiast. Gator's Dockside is entrenched in the community and is very involved with local schools, youth sports, and all other community activities.
Gator's Dockside is looking for a kitchen manager for an Orlando area location. Flexible schedules, benefits available, paid vacations, bonus plan and always an opportunity for advancement.
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for all kitchen functions, including but not limited to food purchasing, receiving, preparation and maintenance of quality standards, safety, sanitation and cleanliness. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the training of employees in connection with those functions.
Kitchen Manager Job Responsibilities:
Manage / oversee kitchen staff
Control flow and ticket times
Write prep sheets and oversee food preparation
Oversee food specs
Maintain correct food temperatures / conduct quality assurance checklists
Verify and teach portion control
Write kitchen schedules / write and update a labor pro forma
Place and receive food orders
Train kitchen staff on all aspects of the restaurant
Store food products in compliance with safety practices
Bi-weekly inventories
Kitchen Manager Qualifications / Skills:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager
Possess strong organizational and decision-making skills
Work well in a fast-paced setting
Ability to communicate will all employees
Teamwork oriented
Maintains a good energy level
Thorough and organized
Ability to lead by example
