This helps promote comfort, relaxation, and peace for patients, family members, and caregivers. **Essential Functions of the Role** + Serve patients, families, and caregivers by assessing their emotional and physical state and offering appropriate musical interventions. + Respond to referrals quickly. Set priorities for music therapy at the bedside or in clinics. + Collaborate and communicate with other staff about patient referrals and visits.
