POSITION INTRODUCTION: Beacon Group is looking for a highly motivated Billing Claims Clerk who thrives in a fast-paced environment and will oversee billing and collections for rehabilitation services for the organization.

You must be very detail-oriented, have great Excel analysis skills, enjoy switching gears constantly, and be able to juggle many priorities at the same time.

Strong Excel skills are a MUST in this position. You must be very comfortable working with, reviewing, and analyzing large Excel spreadsheets, linking files, utilizing formulas, pivot tables, lookup, separating, and combining information. You must be able to recognize patterns and issues in data. You must be able to not only understand existing Excel spreadsheets but also be creative and utilize Excel daily to simplify your work as much as possible. You will be working in Outlook daily, receiving, sending, and following up on dozens of emails. You must have great organization habits managing your email box, ensuring that everything is attended to in a timely manner. Knowledge of Excel, great organizational skills, solid analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are the absolute keys to success in this position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare, verify, and process claims to insurance agencies for services rendered.
• Communicate with internal and external parties to resolve discrepancies in billing.
• Stay current on claim filing requirements.
• Conduct research to identify and address reasons for denials and short payments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred. High School Diploma or GED with 2-7 years accounts billing claims analyst experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Pass the Social Security Suitability Background Verification.
