Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive **Citrix Administrator** to manage and maintain our Citrix infrastructure, ensuring secure, efficient, and high-performance delivery of virtual applications and desktops. This role is critical to supporting our end-user computing environment and requires strong technical expertise in Citrix technologies, networking, virtualization, and security. **In this role, you will:** · **Installation & Configuration:** Set up and configure Citrix servers, applications, and user access across the enterprise. · **Troubleshooting & Maintenance:** Diagnose and resolve issues within the Citrix environment to ensure optimal performance and uptime. · **User Management:** Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies within Citrix. · **Performance Monitoring:** Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations. · **Documentation:** Maintain detailed documentation of Citrix systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. · **Collaboration:** Work closely with other IT teams to integrate Citrix with other enterprise systems. · **Upgrades & Patching:** Apply software and hardware upgrades, security patches, and manage infrastructure lifecycle. · **Disaster Recovery:** Participate in planning and testing of disaster recovery strategies for Citrix environments. **Required Skills: What you need to be considered** · **Citrix Expertise:** In-depth knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), StoreFront, NetScaler (Citrix Gateway), and Provisioning Services. · **Networking Knowledge:** Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and general networking principles. · **Virtualization Experience:** Hands-on experience with VMware or Hyper-V environments. · **Security Awareness:** Familiarity with authentication methods, security protocols, and best practices for securing Citrix environments. · **Operating Systems:** Proficiency in Windows Server and related OS platforms. · **Troubleshooting Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve complex technical issues. · **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with users, teams, and vendors. · **ITIL Framework:** Understanding of ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management. · **Scripting:** Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks. **Preferred skills: what will help you stand out** + Experience in enterprise-scale Citrix deployments. + Exposure to cloud-based Citrix solutions. + Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance analytics. + Ability to train and guide users and junior IT staff. **Work model:** At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, and we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
