Job Description
Job Title: AccountantJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage and optimize our accounting operations. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial documentation and reconciliation processes. Responsibilities + Conduct general ledger account reconciliation. + Resolve aging balances on the balance sheet. + Optimize manual processes and day-to-day operations. + Research discrepancies and document findings. + Collaborate with team members to tackle large balances on balance sheet accounts. + Assist with external audits and new account reconciliations. + Ensure efficient and accurate documentation of activities. Essential Skills + Proficiency in basic accounting principles. + Experience with general ledger account reconciliation. + Strong ability to research discrepancies and document findings. + Efficient and detail-oriented work approach. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Operational accounting experience preferred. + Knowledge in accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, reconciliation, and accounts receivable. + Familiarity with month-end processes, invoicing, and reporting. + Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables. + Experience in data entry, journal entry, financial statements, balance sheets, bank reconciliation, and purchase order processing. Work Environment The position is based in an office setting in Knoxville, Tennessee, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
