**Assembly Mechanic - Pay $24/hr to $27/hr - Great Opportunity For Growth!**
**Job Summary**
The Assembly Mechanic assembles mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic parts for paving and construction equipment in a clean, modern shop. This role involves reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and building high‑quality equipment from start to finish while working closely with a teammate.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Assemble mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components using blueprints and schematics
+ Build custom equipment, frames, axles, and install motors, A/C systems, hoses, fittings, and wiring
+ Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and calibrated torque tools
+ Apply correct torque and follow proper assembly patterns
+ Inspect finished equipment to ensure quality and safety standards
+ Identify and report parts issues, B.O.M. discrepancies, and safety concerns
+ Work with engineering, purchasing, and suppliers to resolve issues
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
+ Work in a team‑based cell environment and meet production schedules
**Required Skills & Experience**
+ 2+ years of experience in mechanical or heavy equipment assembly (automotive, diesel, aviation, military preferred)
+ Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
+ Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, torque applications, and metric measurements
+ Hands‑on experience with torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and power tools
+ Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills
+ Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work as part of a team
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Automotive or technical degree (recent graduates welcome)
+ Trade school or technical training
+ Experience in manufacturing, construction equipment, or mechanical shop environments

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MINNEAPOLIS, MN.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
