We are currently seeking a dedicated Part-Time Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our finance team.

Position Overview:
The Part-Time Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records related to customer payments and dealership revenue. You will work closely with the accounting and sales teams to ensure timely processing of payments, reconciliation of accounts, and follow-up on outstanding invoices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and an interest in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on past-due accounts.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues.
Process and verify all incoming vendor invoices and ensure they are coded and recorded accurately.
Reconcile accounts payable to ensure all transactions are properly accounted for.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and payment histories.
Handle communication with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
Ensure timely payment of all dealership expenses, including parts, services, and supplies.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on receivables/payables and related metrics.
Assist in end-of-month financial closing activities.
Provide support to the accounting department and perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in A/P A/R or accounting, preferably in the automotive or retail industry.
Familiarity with dealership management software (e.g., CDK) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in the Google Suite of Products and accounting software.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional accounting certifications or coursework is a plus.
