**Job Title: EVS Housekeeping Technician**
**Job Description**
The EVS Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital or clinic during the second shift. This role supports patient care by performing high-quality cleaning, disinfection, and waste-handling tasks while ensuring compliance with infection-control and safety standards. Second shift technicians play a key role in preparing patient rooms and clinical areas for the next day's operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine and deep cleaning of patient rooms, exam rooms, restrooms, hallways, waiting areas, and clinical workspaces.
+ Follow strict infection-control procedures, including proper disinfection of high-touch surfaces and equipment.
+ Safely handle and dispose of general, biohazard, and sharps waste according to facility and regulatory guidelines.
+ Restock supplies such as hand sanitizer, soap, paper products, and PPE in designated areas.
+ Operate floor machines, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
+ Respond to urgent cleaning requests from nursing or clinical staff during overnight hours.
+ Complete nightly checklists and document completed tasks accurately.
+ Ensure all cleaning chemicals are used and stored according to safety protocols.
+ Maintain confidentiality and respect for patients, staff, and sensitive areas.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or cleaning roles.
+ Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary clinic environment through routine and deep cleaning.
+ Knowledge of infection-control and disinfection protocols.
+ Proficiency in handling biohazard and general waste properly.
+ Ability to operate cleaning tools and chemicals safely, adhering to OSHA and facility guidelines.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $13.00 - $14.00/hr.
