Job Description
We are looking for a motivated middle career Geophysicist located in Houston, Tx to join our dynamic team at Digital & Integration division at SLB, based in Houston Texas. In this role, you will collaborate with other geoscientists and engineers to support our customer in successfully utilizing Petrel E&P software on their energy exploration and development activities. The job includes efficient troubleshooting and resolving software challenges occurred during project study, guiding and training customers on software modules and workflows applied on their E&P project objectives. The job also requires to support project consulting business, to analyze, and perform geophysical and geological interpretation tasks, delivering high quality of project study result in timely manner. Key Responsibilities: - Customer Care Support: Provide expert technical assistance through our Customer Care Center, delivering timely, clear, and effective support for client inquiries related to geological and geophysical workflows. - On-Site Client Support: Collaborate directly with clients on-site to troubleshoot, guide, and support their use of our technology and workflows, ensuring optimal satisfaction and successful outcomes. - Public Training & Education: Deliver high-quality instruction through our NExT public training programs, empowering users to master our software technologies and improve their workflow capabilities. - Geophysical interpretation in Consulting Projects: Contribute to asset consulting projects by primary executing the geophysical components of the project integrating multiple data ad disciplines, using industry-leading tools and sound geophysical interpretation technology - Continuous Learning & Development: Engage in ongoing training and career development opportunities offered within the company to enhance technical skills, domain knowledge, and customer engagement capabilities. As a geophysicist in the team, it is expected to perform the following tasks with confidence: - Seismic segy 2d and 3d data loading and QC - Seismic horizon and fault interpretation - Structural framework modeling, providing the result for geological modeling - Synthetics seismogram generation or seismic well tie analysis - Velocity modeling for domain conversion - Surface and volume seismic attributes computation and application - Lithology classification analysis by seismic attributes and well data - Quantitative seismic interpretation, seismic inversion, AVO modeling and analysis Must have the legal right to work and reside on the US without Visa sponsorship. - Master's degree in Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline - Strong experience in seismic interpretation, structural modeling, and seismic quantitative interpretation workflows - Extensive experience with Petrel E&P Software Platform, workflows and multi-discipline knowledge integration to guide customers and reach best outcomes - Experience with PetroMod basin modeling and GEOX petroleum exploration risk analysis Software is a plus - Experience with the latest Artificial and Machine Learning technology is a plus - MS PowerBI, Python programing language is a plus - Solid understanding of geology and modeling of :Gulf of Mexico, Offshore East Canada, Alaska, Caribbean. - Proven customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment - Experience in training delivery or public speaking is a plus - Presentation delivery skills - Proactive and willing to learn new technologies. - Willingness to travel as required for on-site support and training sessions + 5-10 Years of Experience as Geophysicist Company policy is to provide every individual a fair and equal opportunity to seek employment and advancement at the Company without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, citizenship, genetic information, veteran or military status, disability, creed, ancestry, pregnancy (including pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions), marital status or any factors protected by federal, state, or local laws.
