Working closely with the early career team, this recruiter will play a key role in designing and executing campus recruitment strategies for the Cooperative Education and Operation Management Trainee programs. This recruiter will be responsible for assessing current and future needs in the Operations Management Program and the Cooperative Education Program and adjusting the recruiting plans and objectives accordingly. As well as, serving as the leader for our Cooperative Education Program, and maintaining strong relationships with co-ops while at Shaw and on campus, in order to build a strong talent pipeline for the Operations Management Trainee program. Responsibilities: + Establish diversity recruiting initiatives. + Collaborate with early career team to determine recruitment schedules on college campuses. + Identify and utilize opportunities where Shaw Industries, Inc. will have visibility with target majors (engineering, human resources, etc.). + Continually evaluate key schools to maximize effectiveness of full-time and cooperative education recruiting strategies. + Manage cooperative education program. + Responsible for keeping files of co-op students, communicating and enforcing company policy, administering orientation, PeopleSoft set-up, investigating personnel issues (if any), administering corrective action (if any). + Plan recognition objectives for cooperative education students. + Conduct exit interviews with students each semester they are employed with the company. + Assign pay rates, work rotations and administer training for co-op supervisors. + Maintain contact with graduating co-op students seeking full-time employment. + Develop positive relationships with internal customers (hiring managers, recruiters, co-op supervisors, human resources directors) and external customers (campus career center staff, faculty, students). + Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to include hiring manager(s), recruiters, co-op supervisors, career center staff, faculty, and students. + Create and manage metric reports (cost per hire, days to fill, co-op conversion rate, etc.). + Screen applicant resumes and conduct behavioral interviews with qualifying candidates. + Negotiate job offers between hiring manager(s) and candidate(s). + Communicate with applicants and candidates in a timely, professional manner.
