Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In this role, you will handle critical accounting tasks and ensure the accuracy of financial records. This position is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of accounting principles and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity. Responsibilities: - Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records. - Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies. - Perform account reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. - Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and timely payments. - Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed. - Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to meet reporting deadlines. - Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify areas for improvement. - Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field. - Proficiency in managing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger. - Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial data accuracy. - Experience with accounts payable processes, including invoice management. - Familiarity with accounting software and tools. - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. - Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
