Job Title: Pursuit Program Manager - Defense & Aerospace


Job Summary

The Pursuits Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a Business Plan to drive the growth of the Defense & Aerospace business. This person will lead the business development efforts at new and existing customers. The Pursuits Program Manager will work closely with the Execution Program Management team to develop quotes and proposals that will drive net new business.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning
  • Develop Strategic Business Plans
    • Identify Markets, Products and Target Customers
  • Develop Account Plans
    • Create and execute growth strategies for new and existing accounts
  • New Business Development
  • Identify and qualify potential customers and projects that align with the company's goals and capabilities
  • Lead the Pursuit and Order Capture process
    • Develop and execute Capture Plans
    • Build strong customer affinity
    • Lead the development of formal proposals and quotations
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Be the commercial focal point for assigned Defense & Aerospace customers
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have Program Management, Business Development or Sales experience
  • Must have experience in a customer facing role
  • Experience with new business development in the defense or aerospace industry would be ideal
  • Must have a track record of supporting revenue growth
  • Experience as a Program Manager, or working closely with a program management team, is preferred
  • Experience implementing a formal pursuit process is preferred
  • Experience managing ongoing customer relationships is preferred
  • Experience working in the defense or aerospace industry is a plus
  • Prior military experience a plus
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime if needed
  • Must be a US Person
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 40% of the time is required

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Business or a technical field preferred
