Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Purchasing Analyst to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves managing procurement processes for logistics services and power system products, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will act as a vital link between suppliers, subcontractors, and our internal teams, contributing to efficient operations and successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate procurement activities for logistics services and power system products, ensuring timely delivery in line with project requirements.
- Provide accurate cost estimates to support the sales team during the bid stage.
- Develop and maintain the request-for-quotation (RFQ) process, summarizing and analyzing supplier responses for internal stakeholders.
- Oversee subcontractor qualification processes and engage stakeholders to determine appropriate suppliers for specific projects.
- Monitor supplier performance and participate in regular reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
- Manage subcontractor invoices and documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify cost trends and potential suppliers.
- Maintain and update internal databases, tracking purchasing details such as quantities, vendors, and discounts.
- Build reports and analyze key performance indicators to support the procurement team's decision-making.
- Assist in the standardization of procurement processes and ensure subcontractors adhere to established logistics protocols. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in procurement or logistics.
- Familiarity with over-the-road transportation processes is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Teams.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable functions and buying processes.
- Ability to analyze bids and negotiate effectively with suppliers.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
