**Job Title: Sanitation Associate**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team in a fast-paced ice cream manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and quality. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn-no prior sanitation experience required. We will train the right person.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, and surfaces.
+ Mop floors, remove waste, and maintain overall facility cleanliness.
+ Operate and maintain sanitation equipment such as industrial dishwashers.
+ Manually clean machinery, utensils, and workspaces using approved chemicals.
+ Follow all sanitation procedures, safety protocols, and food safety guidelines.
+ Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety standards.
+ Support production team by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
+ Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements.
+ Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following strict safety procedures.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
+ Positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes.
+ Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience in sanitation, janitorial, or food manufacturing is a plus-but not required.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a cGMP setting requiring adherence to strict cleanliness and safety standards, including wearing hair nets and scrubs. Tasks include mopping and manual cleaning to maintain the facility's sanitation.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
