Based on need, School Age staff will also be asked to support Ellis Early Education Programs which may include an active role in the early education classrooms or providing administrative support. Ellis early education programs serve children from infancy through age five.  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESUnder the direction of program leadership, provide age-appropriate activities that promote healthy social, physical, academic, and emotional development for youth aged 5 – 13 during after-school and vacation timeSupervise youth on outings and field trips, maintaining a safe environment at all timesLead sports, games, exercise, and other activities that promote physical fitnessSupervise and assist with homework, arts and crafts, projects, and other activitiesAssist Program Director with administrative duties as required including tracking attendance, drafting progress reports, and scheduling parent meetings and student showcasesAssist with serving and cleaning up snacks and meals QUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 18 years oldMust have at least one year of experience working with children ages 5 – 13Responsible and reliableCreative and resourcefulSound personal judgmentCalm, effective communicatorCertified in CPR and First Aid COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Competitive benefits package including vacation and sick time, health insurance, dental insurance, and 401k with employer match with a full-time/40 hour a week position.  The purpose of this description is to provide the major responsibilities of the position.
