What You'll Be DoingThis is an entry-level or journey-level skilled position performing tasks associated with physically initiating and discontinuing water service, leak investigation and various customer service functions in addition to inspection and repair of fire hydrants and setting, reading, programming, repairing and maintaining water meters and meter transmitter units. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled installation, maintenance and customer service tasks on residential and commercial water meters. This is accomplished by locating, installing, reading, replacing, repairing, testing, and adjusting a variety of large complex component water meters and fire hydrants. Other duties may include completing related tasks as assigned. This position is primarily outdoors, working individually, to meet deadlines on a daily basis. Utility Field Service Trainee$52,000-$96,200 DOQHS/GED.Minimum of one (1) year of experience in maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
