POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary function of the Prep Cook is to ensure Silver Diner menu items are prepped according to Silver Diner specifications and standards.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Work as part of a team, communicating clearly and constructively
Set up and maintain a clean, organized station, clean as you go
Count all prepped items checking for quality and proper rotation
Measure and assemble all ingredients and cook items according to specs
Prep assigned items following specs and according to prep list
Label, date, rotate and store all prepped items properly using FIFO (first in, first out)
Return bulk items to walk-cooler as you are prepping to keep food out of danger zone
Proper knowledge of operating each piece of equipment
Understand and adhere to all safety, sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards
Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to KM
BRAND DELIVERY:
Be on time for work
Maintain a positive, fun-oriented attitude to your work
Keep yourself, your uniform and your work areas sparkling clean at all times
Strictly follow all uniform standards
COST BALANCING:

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of Silver Diner menu items to be served complying to applicable sanitation, health, & personal hygiene standards and in accordance with Silver Diner specs.
RESPONSIBIITIES:
Ensure:
Every menu is prepared & plated completely to spec
Cooking procedures are followed
Know specs for all menu items in your station
Stock ingredients & supplies ahead of need and as you go
Complete temperature checks prior to & after the rush
Maintain a clean & organized station, clean as you go.
Understand and adhere to all safety, sanitation, health & personal hygiene standards
Store ingredients properly at all times & employing FIFO (First In, First Out)

Go To is a Front of the House Associate who supports all other FOH Associates, especially Servers, ensuring Guest Satisfaction in the areas of Speed of Service and Accuracy of Orders.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Host’s primary responsibility is to greet guests warmly, friendly and immediately at the door. They manage the flow of guests to tables following proper rotation. They guide guests to the tables engaging in friendly conversation, seat and present clean menus in a professional, yet speedy manner.
RESPONSIBIITIES:
Ensure every Guest:
Receives a contagiously warm welcome to the Silver Diner
Is seated at a sparkling clean table in a speedy & efficient manner
Is introduced to the company’s philosophy
Knowledge of all conversations of service, able to answer guest questions about the menu & restaurant
Cleans, organizes and stocks supplies needed at host station including menus, crayons, kid’s cars, etc.
Follows & tracks proper service rotation
Quotes wait time to guests when tables are not immediately available
Occasionally pre-bus tables to allow for quick turn around time
Interacts with guests in and as they leave the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience
Keeps high-chairs and booster seats sparkling clean
Maintaining a clean lobby to Silver Diner standards
When not greeting guests or seating, answer the phone within 3 rings using SD standard greeting
Complete all assigned side work
Work as part of a team, communicating clearly and constructively
BRAND DELIVERY:
Be on time for work
Maintain a positive, fun-oriented attitude to your work
Keep yourself, your uniform and your station sparkling clean at all times
Strictly follow all uniform standards
Knowledge of SMG scoring standards for Speed of Service & Attentiveness
Know and ensure delivery of the Silver Diner Brand
COST BALANCING:
Maintain clean menus, notify management of any worn menus & replaces them
Other Duties & Tasks:
Perform any additional duties or tasks as reasonably assigned by managers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work area includes: food, refrigeration, knives, toasters, syrup dispensers, plates/bowls, slippery floors, and, at times, high temperatures. It is a physically intense environment requiring stamina and the ability to tolerate heat, walk-in coolers, lift/maneuver boxes weighing up to 35 pounds, and stand/walk on hard surfaces for 10-12 hours per day. Able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe. Able to tolerate proper use of cleaning & sanitizing products. Frequent hand washing.
