Essential Duties and Responsibilities

First Coast Security has a wide array of employment opportunities for Professionally trained and licensed FPS Certified PSOs. Full-Time and Part-Time positions are available for qualified candidates who are looking for a career in the security industry.

Maryland State Handgun Permit and Security Guard Certification

Baton and OC Spray Certification

Tri-Annual FPS Refresher - if your basic training is 3+ years old

First Aid/CPR/AED certifications - by American Red Cross or American Heart Association ONLY.

In addition to the certifications required by the FPS, the candidate must have any certifications that are mandated according to the state/jurisdiction in which they will be working.

Qualifications:

To be eligible to perform duties under this contract, a PSO shall meet the following general qualifications:

  • Be a United States citizen; or a
    • Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component the United States Armed Forces
  • Been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individuals name and social security number
  • Have verifiable documentation of at least one experience level and at least one educational level or any reasonable combination listed below:
    • Experience
