We are currently searching for an experienced Controller. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals in day-to-day financial management and accounting operations of properties as a strategic part of Donaldson's management and operations. Develop and collaborate inter-departmental efforts to ensure timely and accurate property financial reporting. Prepare monthly property's accrual financial statements including supplemental schedules. Analyze and interpret property's financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Analyze trends and prepare property's cash flow projections to provide recommendations on owner distributions or needed capital calls. Serve as a resource and assist with property annual budgets including preparing in-house escrow analyses. Manage the preparation of and provide oversight and review of external audits. Work with external accounting firms on year-end reporting and timely tax returns of properties and investors. Ensure timely completion of annual property reporting requirements including lender compliance submissions. Oversee financial management and accounting processes related to onboarding and offboarding properties. Assist with financial management and accounting needs related to acquisitions and sales/dispositions of properties. Determine and plan property and project assignments as well as developing, coordinating, and implementing financial management and accounting team goals. Assist CFO with the review of internal controls for the safeguarding of assets and mitigation of financial risk. Provide exceptional customer service and serve as an ambassador of the Donaldson brand. Skills: Big picture thinker. Strong leadership, verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
