We're an industry changer - we created the first and only fully autonomous, end-to-end supply chain solution. Today, we are driving towards even bigger ideas - and we have the people, technology and leadership to fully realize these aspirations. We have theexcitement and ambition of a startup with the benefits and resources of a proven organization. What You'll DoThe Principal Embedded Engineer will be part of team that designs and develops a state-of-the-art safety system within our automation solution. This role lives within our Bot Controls team and plays a critical role in delivering a robust safety system that allows our system to run safely and efficiently. In This RoleDesign and develop software strategies for near real time environments in C++.Implement object-oriented software using up-to-date programming methodologies.Implement, document and maintain Linux and embedded real- time code and shell scripts (PERL, Bash, Python).Understand, document and maintain existing code (C/C++, some PERL components).Support system testing of components and subsystems.Troubleshoot system problems in production or design by investigating issues related to product performance or production difficulties, primarily through log analysis.Evaluate and process engineering change requests. What You'll Need Minimum of 12+ years of professional experience developing real time embedded software and device drivers. Familiarity with networking protocols and control systems.A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in a related engineering discipline ( i.e. Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, etc.).The qualified candidate must have experience with Object Oriented design using C++. Social Media Specialist
Location: Remote within the United States – Atlanta, GA metro area preferred
Compensation: $28/hour
Job Type: Contract / Part-Time (up to 60 hours/month, will vary)
What we do:
Hopebound works to revolutionize access to mental health support for young people from historically marginalized communities.
Hopebound ensures adolescents, centering those with marginalized identities, receive the accessible, high-quality, culturally competent, and child-centered mental health care they deserve. We utilize emerging master’s and doctoral level clinicians as our providers, many of whom share the background of our youth, and focus on providing them with expert training to ensure that the low cost of their services does not translate to a lower quality of care.
The Role:
Hopebound is looking for a creative, intentional, and community-centered Social Media Specialist to join our team. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing Hopebound’s online presence. This includes working with the Chief Community Officer to develop a social media strategy and create an editorial calendar, creating daily posts for each platform, moderating social posts by responding to comments and questions, and analyzing post performance indicators to inform future social media campaigns and strategy. This role is contract-based and part time (up to 80 hours / month) and will report to the Chief Community Officer.
Social Media Strategy (20% of time)
- Collaborate with the Chief Community Officer to develop a social media strategy that will inform daily content creation.
- Establish a monthly editorial calendar to outline an editorial focus and posting cadence that will work best for each platform.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and trends to continuously improve on Hopebound’s social media strategy.
Daily Content Creation (60% of time)
- Identify stories that showcase Hopebound’s mission, vision, and values, as well as sharing relevant mental health stories.
- Create and curate engaging text, image, and video content to be posted on all of Hopebound’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
Post Performance Analysis (20% of time)
- Analyze successful posts (from Hopebound or other channels) to inform strategic choices that will grow Hopebound’s audience and increase post engagement
- Review analytics and create reports on key performance metrics, presenting findings to Hopebound leadership team.
Additional responsibilities (dependent upon contractor availability/capacity)
- Update Hopebound’s website (based in WordPress) when needed.
- Proactively engage with relevant social media accounts related to Hopebound’s work.
- Establish Hopebound’s presence on Pinterest, building content for the platform.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- A passion for accessible mental health care and a basic knowledge of the mental health care industry.
- 3+ years work experience managing social media platforms for a nonprofit or professional organization.
- Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills (and the ability to adapt to a brand tone of voice).
- Expansive working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn and the types of content that drive engagement on these channels.
- Experience in photo and video editing for the creation of reels, Instagram and Facebook stories, etc.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with limited oversight.
- An investment in youth-focused organizations, ideally those who work with youth who hold marginalized identities, including but not limited to being people of color, from a low-income background, and/or being a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
Not sure if you should apply?
We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet 100% of all qualifications listed here. We value people of all races, genders (including gender identity or expression), sexual orientations, disabilities, citizenships, ages, religions, and national origins and who have different marital statuses, family caregiving responsibilities, lived experiences with the criminal justice systems, and genetic information.
Our organizational values:
In doing this work, we are committed to holding each other accountable, valuing collaboration over competition, being agile while not compromising our values, and upholding integrity to our teammates, our clients, their families, and our partners. With one another, we have fun, over-communicate, apologize quickly, and value kindness over niceness. We express gratitude and acknowledge the work of others.
Lastly, as professionals in the mental health care field, we know how important self-care is and when on the ‘Hopebound plane,’ we are sure to put our oxygen masks on first before assisting others. By being in this field, we also understand that the demands asked of us are great, analogous to being in the exit row on a plane, and we agree to openly communicate to our team if we need to take a step back by moving to a different row.
