The Loudoun County Juvenile Court Service Unit is seeking qualified candidates for Youth Services Specialist I positions serving the Youth Services Center located in Leesburg, VA.?
This new facility, which opened in Spring 2023, contains 2 different residential programs:
Secure Juvenile Detention Center
Less Secure Youth Shelter for court-involved youth.
Youth Services Specialists are responsible for the welfare, safety, and security of the youth at the facility. Positions may be available in either program.
Typical Youth Services Specialist I core responsibilities include:
Supervise youth in all daily activities, such as: recreational, educational, hygiene, meals, visitation, life skills and spiritual services.
Manage youths' behavior by the least restrictive means, utilizing coaching and conflict resolution skills to teach and promote pro-social behavior among the youth.
Counsel, discipline and physically restrain youth as needed.
Transport youth.
Complete reports and daily logs.
Operate control room. (Detention Center only)

May be requested to provide support to other programs within Department.

Job Requirements
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree or equivalent and two (2) years professional experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
Special Requirements
Must be able to successfully complete First Aid, CPR for adults and Handle with Care (physical intervention) within 90 days of hire.
Must update certifications as needed.
Position is considered essential and requires reporting to work in inclement weather or other states of emergency and or as required by Director.
Must be able to work all shifts as assigned, rotating schedules that includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is required to work on either a 12-hour day or night shift.
Must have the ability to use automated technology and be able to operate keyboard driven equipment.
May be at risk of exposure to various forms of communicable disease.
Requires occasional stooping, bending, and /or light lifting.

The Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is currently seeking temporary, part-time clinicians.
As the Commonwealth of Virginia transitions to the Crisis Now Model (https://crisisnow.com/), the Emergency Services Program seeks dynamic mental health clinicians to add to a rapidly growing team of mobile mental health professionals who specialize in crisis intervention and stabilization services. Successful candidates excel in complex, fast paced, fluid clinic and community-based environments, and use their expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual/developmental disabilities to link individuals in crisis, their families, and support systems to treatment options. Emergency Services Therapists support 24/7/365 crisis response with: excellent rapport building, astute clinical acumen, creative problem solving, adaptability to rapidly changing, often competing changes in demands for service, and a collaborative approach to community services.
This position is part of the relief pool. Schedule is not set and includes any open shifts in the program. Available shifts vary and include: days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and other county closures.
Job Requirements
Master's degree in a field eligible for professional licensure as: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP); Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner; Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist; Medical Doctor (MD); Doctor of Osteopathy (DO); and two (2) years of professional mental health and/or substance use required, which includes internship experience.
Preferred:
Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue's Fire Marshal's Office is seeking qualified applicants for a permanent part-time Civilian Fire Inspector position (up to 20 hours a week).

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Zoning Administration Team in the Department of Planning and Zoning. Job Requirements
