This includes child-specific implementation of major departmental initiatives, such as the Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC), accomplishing quality and operational goals, and performance on relevant departmental metrics such as the Medicaid Waiver and ACO. They take part as a member of the leadership team in developing goals, articulating strategy, and setting operational objectives. They take ownership for, and support, the decisions and actions of Department leadership. The Director takes a pivotal role in leading program development, and in transforming clinical practice to evidence-based, time-limited and problem-focused approaches. They communicate to clinical staff the central place of meeting patient needs on their terms, and co-creating plans for treatment. They convey a strong appreciation for the commitment and dedication of clinical staff, support their professional development through periodic coaching and mentorship, and provide opportunities for ongoing growth. At the same time, they hold clinical staff fully accountable for their work, and for meeting the expectations of the Department, and of CHA, including creating appropriate and timely clinical documentation. They deal directly and respectfully with staff when issues in performance arise. Qualifications:Social Worker or Psychologist licensed to practice psychotherapy independently in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Holds an MSW, PhD, PsyD with Board Certification in Specialty where relevant. Able to meet Employer Credentialing standards. A minimum of eight years of independent clinical practice with children and adolescents A minimum of five years of clinical and program management. Proven leadership and strong communication skills.
