We see everything, but we get a lot of neuro, cardiac, and respiratory emergencies. Qualified nurses will have previous Emergency Department experience, dealing with both adults and PEDs, and have previous experience working as a charge nurse.

• Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in the ER
• Triage each patient and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs as well as factors influencing patient flow through the emergency care system
• Perform focused assessment of chief complaints of each patient in a timely manner according to established guidelines
• The RN Registered Nurse ER Emergency Room is familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and possess good oral and written communication skills
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and hospital staff in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide direction to non-nursing staff
