Toyon is seeking a web application developer to design, code and test a custom intranet application used by government clients in the Washington DC area. The proposed candidate will interact with Toyon's engineering team and government clients to define requirements, assemble prototypes, design screens, generate code, conduct rigorous testing, and perform deployments to production systems.

Job assignments include a range of office and on-site work to define and implement government-approved upgrades. In addition to software design and implementation, the candidate must participate in and develop materials for group presentations, software demonstrations, and organized training classes.




The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and ambitions:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer or Information Science related fields (required)
  • Minimum of four years relevant professional work experience (required)
  • Experience in the following technology areas (required):
  1. Web application development: Java/Jakarta Enterprise Edition 8 (minimum 2 years)
