You will be responsible for maintaining existing designs as well as evaluation and execution of proposed changes to original design intent through our engineering change process. The Sustaining Engineering team focuses on projects to maintain the component selection as well as look at alternatives.
- Execute sustaining engineering opportunities on existing and new product components by improving quality, enhancing features/performance, or reducing cost.
- Utilizing company product release and engineering change processes.
- Lead or assist in the responsibilities for all aspects of component selection and validation/verification
- Work directly with Test Engineering and Quality to validate new and existing components
- Plan, perform and document validation testing for all stages of projects
